MindJolt delivers great games to people whenever and wherever they play across mobile, social and web platforms. With a large and diverse roster of titles including everything from immersive virtual economy driven mobile social games, to puzzle and word games, action and strategy, MindJolt offers something for everyone. Social features such as the opportunity to invite and challenge friends, compete for top score and enter tournaments keep millions of players engaged and coming back for more.
MindJolt’s three-pillar approach is rare within the games industry and plays an important role in our continued growth. Players can move through an ecosystem of games, accessing their favorite titles from every device, while social hooks and great content keep them coming back for more.
Founded in 2007, by a small development team in San Francisco, MindJolt was acquired in 2010 by former MySpace founders and Social Media innovators Chris DeWolfe, Aber Whitcomb, Colin Digiaro with Josh Yguado, a former Fox executive. In April of 2011, MindJolt doubled down on their mobile efforts with the acquisition of SGN a pioneering developer and publisher of social mobile games with a reputation for console quality graphics and sophisticated gameplay. In that same month, MindJolt acquired HallPass media, a leading network of web-based free-to-play casual gaming sites.
Funded by the Private Equity firm Austin Ventures, with over $4 Billion in assets, MindJolt today is one of the largest, independent gaming companies, with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
